So what are you gonna do?

#can you imagine if an army stole season 5 amy’s baby? can you even imagine what THIS amy would have done to the doctor after blowing up a flesh version of her in front of rory with no explanation and leaving her to wake up giving birth in an alien jail chamber #where is the moody sassy back talking lock-picking amelia jessica pond of season five what have you done with her moffat #do you think that when women get married they become mother hens with no other interest except their husbands and their entire personalities recede into the background while river and the poncho boys get to have all the fun and explosions DO YOU #still bitter

Season 5 Amy never existed.  She lived in a universe that was destroyed when the TARDIS exploded.  She lived a life with her parents erased from the universe and her fiancee was shot then erased from in front of her only to be thrown back at her suddenly and shoot her.  Season 5 Amy lived in a universe where her attitude was a way for her to deal with all the shit that was happening to her, but then the universe was completely rebooted.  She woke up on her wedding day with her parents and Rory back in her life— a life we now know nothing about because her entire existence was rewritten along with the universe’s reboot.  Her life revolved around that crack in her wall, and when it was made so that that crack never existed, Amy turned into someone else.  Someone who had been raised by her parents, who didn’t stay up at night hearing voices from a crack in her wall, someone who was marrying the man she loved who was still alive and existing.

And that’s how Season 6 Amy came to be.  She is almost literally a different person from Season 5 Amy.

Amelia Pond’s major character trait her abandonment issues.  The reason why she’s so different in season 6 is all of that ^.  She had her parents, her flake of an aunt didn’t raise her.  The only thing that DID happen (judging from how her mum was like ‘don’t start that again’) was that she had an ‘imaginary friend’ called the Doctor who never came back.

It makes so much sense that she’s different now, less harsh, less self-motivated.  She didn’t have the same feeling of being alone in the universe.

Wait… Does that mean in series 6 the Doctor was imaginary?
